Tonight's episode - Crossfire
Last week's episode of Smallivlle was fantastic, but this Friday timeslot is killing this show. Ratings are way down (but have stabilized, at least) and any sense of community surrounding it is obliterated because most people are not sitting in front of their TVs on Friday night.
As always, I look forward to your thoughts, opinions, gripes, live-blogging, etc.

Except that Smallville pushes the CW to third place on Fridays, something that is GR-R-R-R-R-R-REAT for a network that is consistently 5th.
In news related to the show: GOOD MORNING METROPOLIS! AMAZING!
Posted by redlibertyx on 10/30/09 at 08:03 PMLong Live Smallville!!!!! I'll watch this show on any day of the week!
Posted by SuperMoore on 10/30/09 at 08:10 PMOnly make sense that Zod would be the CEO of Rao. I mean come on.
Posted by redlibertyx on 10/30/09 at 08:15 PMdid clark just get c-blocked by ollie?
Posted by drummerman1126 on 10/30/09 at 08:38 PMI think the better question is, "How does it affect the rest of comics continuity that Green Lantern is going to try and bang Speedy?"
Posted by redlibertyx on 10/31/09 at 09:04 AM@redlibertyX- I believe you mean Green Arrow right??
Nobody should be banging Speedy I hope. It would be nice if they made her HIV positive like her comics counterpart to make the character interesting. I did catch the RAO last night. Overall, good episode, but can we stop the on again-off again Clark-Ollie relationship?? The Lois Clark will they or won't they stuff is going to get stale soon.
Posted by marshak75 on 10/31/09 at 11:51 AMWow, this was great! Definitely the best episode this year and maybe one of my all-time favourites. Cat Grant! WoohOOOO! I hope this means we have Supergirl back soon for her to hate on.
Posted by Crippler on 10/31/09 at 12:34 PMI really enjoyed the last episode. Is it just me or does it seem like Smallville's special effects budget got way bigger. My only gripe with this season is that its become more about Green Arrow than Superman. I also wished there had been more flirty/wooing between Lois and Clark before the kiss...I mean after he ditched her for lana last season they havent really been focusing on the lois and clark relationship until now...I just feel like a step is missing. I'm also worried about the continuity of the show what with a Blonde (not clark looking) Jor-El and MAJOR Zod, and Kandor (tho Kara went off to look for Kandor)...I want more Clark centric episodes!!!!

CW is obviously trying to launch "The Vampire Diaries" by pairing it with "Supernatural" on Thursday nights (both of those are awesome too, BTW, IMO).
Most shows don't last past nine or ten seasons. Is it possible that CW sees either this or next year as "Smallville's" last hurrah? Thematically, they've been slowly working toward Clark/Kal-El claiming his destiny and becoming Superman. Maybe season nine is about his training and during season ten he'll finally don the blue tights... and that will be it.
